In 1995 I heard a strange story about an odd family. It was about a Bloody Mary and her family. You see Paul Norman (Candy Man) owned a candy shop in Lakewood Michagin. He had been at work all day and when he got home he went to his restroom and saw his baby Calvin (Blue Baby) floating in the toilet blue as the sky. He had drowned in there and had turned that color due to lack of breath. He was extremely shocked and called his wife Mary (Bloody Mary). She came into the room and asked "What?". Paul turned around and was about to explain when Mary poured a bucket of honey on him and grabbed him. "What are you doing?" he asked. No answer. He got his free hand and smacked her. She cut off his hand with the knife she carried. She locked him outside and went out back. She opened there neighbors bee hive and they all dove right for Paul. He got stung to death. She then ran out front and went to the shed where Paul kept a wood chipper. She jumped in and killed her self.
It is said that if you say Bloody Mary, Blue Baby, Candy Man these are my new family you will fall dead in the sink and turn blue. I have tried this and it is false.

well this is how it all began one silent night .... a couple of friends of mine jovana and douglas were hanging out at about 12:59 we had an idea maybe we should tell scary stories doug began telling one about bloody mary. at that time is when jovana and I got an idea to go to the restroom to go do that bloody mary thing I mean it wouldn't be the first time we did it. but the other times we didn't stay in the bathroom we all made a promise this time we will all stay in there this time. we closed the door and began to chant the name BLOODY MARY... about to the 99th time and on the last one on 100 we saw her!!!! oh and it wasn't a human it was a bloody oh and I mean blood old woman doug began praying and no one even dared to open there eyes they were too horrified.. then we felt it the drops of blood and the scratches we didn't leave because she wouldn't let us we screamed at last and in our left arm the one that had been scared so bad along with the hand of death that came across our mouths at last ariana jovanas lil sis opened the door and turned on the light the reaping ghost .. ohh the mirror swallowed the terrible witch up .. and I will never be able to forget it. it all happened last night!!

Hi my name is Ashtin and I my sisters friend told my sis about bloody mary and my sister told me. I was nine then. So that night at midnight I went in our bathroom and tried it. There were no windows and I didn't lock the door. I chanted bloody mary 22 times and I saw a women in a white dress with black hair and blood walk by. I went to touch the figure and it was gone. I flipped on the light and ran out and my mom was in front of me. I'm still scared!!

One night I was at my friends birthday party and she had like 6 girls over that I didn't really talk to at school because I'm kinda a loner and I like to be left alone and get my work done so I can pass. Well anyway I went to my friends house and we started to tell scary stories. I was the only one who had heard of Bloody Mary so I was the one who told it. But I told them the original story, about how she died and about her life and then I told them another story about her. Like if you go into the bathroom and say her name 5-100 times, or you can say Bloody Mary I killed your baby 13 times, you can say martha worth 13 times, and the last thing I remember you can say is Bloody Mary come and get me 13 times. And I told them how they had to have all the lights off, you say what ever one you wanted to say and then you have to splash water on the mirror to get it to work. And then Bloody Mary will appear in the mirror and try to pull you into the mirror would or she will try to kill you and turn you into her bloody servant, or some stuff like that.
Well my friend was being very stupid and said we should try it and I was like you guys can I had a very bad experiences with it before. And then they were like you should tells us the story.
Well I told them and they still wanted to do it and they said I should do it with them and I was like OK I will do it again. So we all went into the bathroom and they said I should start it since I know the story and I said OK but you guys have to do it also or else I wont. So I started it out by saying Bloody Mary I killed your baby, I said it about 13 times and nothing happened so then they all started to say it and we said it about 20 times and then she showed up and she didn't really look all that scary but everyone was screaming anyway because it had worked and didn't stick around to see what I saw.
She wasn't angry at all but she looked really sad and I said " What's wrong with you?" She just looked at me and said that she lost her baby and couldn't find her, then the weirdest thing happened a girl showed up right beside me and Bloody Mary just looked at her and smiled then the girl climbed up onto the sink in the bathroom and went through the mirror and then her and Bloody Mary gave each other a hug and then Bloody Mary turned to me and smiled at me and said thank you for returning my daughter to me, I have missed her so much.
Then I walked out of the bathroom and everyone was like what happened and I didn't tell them so they wouldn't think I was crazy but the truth is Bloody Mary isn't all that mean all she was trying to do was find her lost daughter and I had helped her do that and from now on I don't think people should say she will pull you into the mirror and try to scratch you up all she was trying to do was find her lost daughter and now she has her daughter and I don't think she will be haunting anyone any more.

this story is COMPLETELY TRUE
Last weekend, I went to Queensland, Australia.. to see my best friend Catherine (she moved there) we were browsing the Internet for something fun to do.. how to summon Bloody Mary popped up.. So we decided to do it. Catherine's dad has heard us talking about it, so he instantly pulled us into the bedroom to do bloody mary.. we made the room super dark.. so you cant see a thing.. me and Catherine chanted Bloody Mary.. 13 times. after the 13th time.. nothing happened, but don't stop reading yet.. this gets interesting, Catherine's dad, screamed right in front of my face, so out of fear, I fell back.. pulling Catherine with me, screaming.. Catherine's dad then turned the light on.. and walked out laughing, the problem is.. we had fallen almost instantly, so we dunno if we saw her or not. So now in back in Sydney..I was talking about Bloody Mary to my friend Carly, then to Catherine, online.. out of nothing, I had a scratch on my leg, just like claws.. it was really fresh, it looked and felt like it. I was reading, and found out that Bloody Marys hands had turned into claws after death.. I'm so creeped out, I don't know if she's going to haunt me or anything!! I have no idea.. please help me.. before she goes too far!!

Ok, so everyone is like scared of bloody mary..right? the question is.. why? she has been known to just stare back at you, or even answer questions.. or, kill/ attack you. there are so many ways to summon bloody mary, but theres probly only a couple of ways that wont upset her..
I think the trick is.. that you need to think how she'd feel.. no fire (candles).. this upsets her. when i summoned her.. we must've done somthing wrong, if she wont appear.. yet she'll scratch me when im back home.
theres another perspective i have too. its a little off topic, but ima say it anyway.. why are we all so scared of ghosts, and such? they dont usually want to hurt us.. next time you see a ghost or bloody mary.. be nice to them.. maby you'll get somthing back in return

You did make a good point, however, that spirits don't usually wish to cause harm. It is claimed that how a person was in life is how they can be in death, so if good or bad really depends on the spirit themselves it is believed. Sometimes people may misinterpret signs or happenings because of fear, when really nothing bad was attempted to be done to them, maybe just gain their attention, warning them, etc. It all depends on the situation and spirit. ( see: Hauntings & Ghosts FAQs ).
It is also claimed that when you summon anything or anyone, what may actually come to you is what is in the immediate area - not exactly what or who you may be summoning. Just like with a Ouija Board or other type of summoning object, it is believed that you must know what you are doing, so if you open a 'doorway' so to speak, to be able to then close it afterwards.
You posed the question wishing to know if 'Bloody Mary' really scratched you, or if just coincidence. That all depends. First of all, there is no definite proof there ever was a 'Bloody Mary' or 'Mary Worth' of these stories, ( unless you are thinking of the Queen ). Hence why it's called an Urban Legend. So giving that to be the case, if a person is really calling, or summoning, 'Bloody Mary,' you really don't know who, or what exactly you are calling for. May just be one explanation, or theory, as to why sometimes things happen to some, while nothing to others - and yet others who just have fun off the fear and 'what if' it causes.
Some may say: "BUT I SAW HER!" The question next to be asked is - "Did you *really see her*, or was it just what your mind wished to see so badly that is what manifested before you in the mirror? "Where you looking so hard to 'see' something, you 'saw' something you have no explanation for - which was all just in your mind feeding off the fear and thrill the game may cause?" Or, "Did you call on her - to actually have something else take on her appearance, or any other happening at the moment, and show in her place?"
Second - did you do anything, or could have done anything to scratch yourself? Sometimes we rub up against things, and never notice a bruise or scratch until it itches or bothers us in some way. Look for all the possible natural causes first, it may have been all just coincidence, then you remembered your summoning and thought it to be her. If nothing else happens and no more markings appear, then you just may get your answer that is was a natural occurrence after all!

Well it was the last week of school and all my friends wanted to have a slumber party. Because I would be leaving and we wouldn't see each other until school started again. So my friends Melissa, Jena, Ryan, (a girl), Brian, Jessy, Rick, and me and my ex boyfriend Daniel.
Well Ryan had to call her mom and ask if she could stay the night, but her mom said she had chores that she had to do and if she got them done early she could come. Well Daniel went home with me and then Melissa my best friend showed up first, then her boyfriend Jessy, Brian showed up with Jena cause they wanted to talk with each other about hooking up for the summer, and then jessy showed up and Ryan and Rick showed up an hour later cause they got all her chores done.
Later that night after we got out of the pool we were all hanging outside still by the pool telling scary stories. And Daniel was the one that brought up the story of Bloody Mary. He told them the story about how to summon her. I told the story about how she died and how the kids in her village had summoned her two days after she was hung and that's how the whole game started. And Ryan said we should try it.
So at midnight we all went into the bathroom in the basement and we were about to try it when Jena said she couldn't do it she was just to scared. So we were like OK. And we just went to go swimming again.
It was about 3 when jena went to sleep and we all went into the basement bathroom. And since Jena was asleep she didn't have to do it so she wouldn't be scared. Well anyway. Me and Daniel were siting on the sink and Jessy was siting on the toilet lid, Ryan and Rick were standing right next to the shower.
Daniel started off by saying Bloody Mary I killed your baby. Then we all started to say it and we said it about 13 times and nothing happened right when we were about to leave I looked back at the mirror and saw something. But what I saw wasn't scary at all. Bloody Mary looked really sad. I looked up at her and asked "Why do you look so sad Mary." "I'm looking for my lost daughter she's been gone for over 100 years and I miss her terrible." Well right after she said that Daniel turned the lights on and I asked if anyone else saw what I did and they all said no.
Its been three years since that has happened and now when I go to sleep I can see her looking for her lost daughter. I just hope that she will find her one day. That way she wont been so sad all the time.

hello me again my name is matt and this is a true story, as I said in my last story we became paranormal investigators we are still working on bloody mary but we were in the bathroom me, cody, and zeb we started saying her name over and over about the 57th time we saw her again not she still had no scrapes or blood but all of a sudden we must have stayed in there to long cause she started getting this look in her eye she reached out and cut zeb we don't know what happened we ran out and because we were hiding a camera we thought we got it all on tape but we watched an there was nothing we could not see her we just saw us trying to talk to her and then zeb got cut so we were disappointed and we found out she is not very friendly we tried to do it again this time when we ran out we got her on tape [yes!!!!!] that night we all kept seeing thing out the window we could catch glimpses of her face in the morning we went outside to our club while we were walking to it the construction workers asked what we were doing we showed him the tape but he couldn't see anything we watched it again and there was nothing just us standing there we caught her on tape but it was gone I will tell you what happens next in my next story we haven't tried again yet OK remember this was a true story don't try bloody mary.

School.
One time at school, all the girls were getting changed in the girls toilets for gym. we had a substitute teacher and he told us about the b.m (that's what we call it ever since that day) superstition so we thought it was a load of junk so we done it for a laugh. it was bright and our teacher told us to flush the toilet x3 turn on the hot taps x3 and say b.m 13 times in the mirror. we done it but to our surprise it didn't work.
Swimming Lessons.
All the girls were brushing their hair in the girls toilets at dalry swimming pool. we had tried to do b.m the day before and we were sure it would work. but yet again we couldn't turn off the light but we done what we had done the day before then we heard banging on the walls we got freaked out and ran and told the teacher and then we saw a couple of laughing boys coming out of the boys toilet on the other side of the girls toilet what a bummer.
Sleepover.
at my sleepover we looked up the real b.m story and were brave enough to try it. Sinead, sarah, megan and me, turned off the light lit a candle flushed the toilet span around and said b.m quiet and getting louder and we saw a woman coming towards us. she had black hair dripping with blood and a white dress covered in a red substance. before we knew what was happening we switched on the light and ran to get my parents. from this day on we are spooked and whenever we hear b.m we nearly pee ourselves.

When my mom was my age about 15 she had a bunch of girls over for a sleepover and they went into my mom's closet shut the doors and turned out the lights, they called Bloody Mary over and over until they saw her, my mom said she saw her with an ax a bucket of blood and her head under one of her arms.. Today 8/31/07, I (kayleigh)decided me and my friends should do bloody mary. So we went into the house and went into the bathroom with no windows, the first time we tried was with 2 little boys 5 and 6 and we all held hands and spinned into a circle all saying bloody mary. It didn't work though. So the next time we tried we made the boys go some where else so marissa (12 yrs old), brianna(9),amber(10),and I (13) we went back into the bathroom and tried it.
1)we all held hands in this order from left to right brianna, marissa, me, then amber.
2)then we all chanted bloody mary I don't know how many times we said it though.
I was looking at the floor but when I looked up the room started getting blue. everybody said they saw a hand behind me but I ran out really fast. amber said she felt something bite her lip or something and marissa said she saw her face in the mirror and it was red and she felt something playing with her hair. From stories I read she s either in the mirror or behind you good thing we all ran out!

9-3-07 OK, the last story I wrote, "Out of dream experience", well this one is a dream. I know the doing-BM-stories may be more scarier but please read this, it scared me!
About 2 or 3 weeks ago I had a bream about BM, I wasn't thinking about her this time though. Anyway, in the dream I'm in the van with my sisters waiting for my mom to finish shopping. I see her walking across the No Frills parking lot and all of a sudden she gets zapped with lighting and she's a pile of ash. I Scream my head off!
So then I get out of the car and next thing I know I'm in the store. It's a 2-story building and I'm on the second level. There's a railing behind me and I an see an escalator a ways in front of me. But then I see a woman right in front of me on her knees saying "You killed my baby!" And when I look at the dead baby in her arms I wake up.
(By the way she looked like B.M. Black hair, white gown.)
Now whenever I think of that and what she said and I see the baby in my mind I get chills and I sit down where ever I am and I Am So Scared!

I am 27 now and this story happened about when I was 11 or 12. Some say it was a child's overactive imagination but no matter how young I was I know what I saw and so did my friend John. It was actually during the day when my story happened. Me and a friend of mine named John had heard of the Bloody Mary legend and decided to give it a good go round. So we both put out hands to the sides of our faces covering our eyes so no light could get in and then got face to face to join hands and we both said her name 3 times and what I saw was a woman walking in a white dress in the distance and she kept getting closer and closer to my eyes and when she seemed to get close enough she disappeared and I saw 3 red eyes. I tried to break my hands away from Johns but nothing seemed to happen when I did until after I saw the three red eyes..after that I never toyed with the legend again nor do I wish to any more...

Me and my friends had a sleep over and we were talking about ghost story and I mentioned bloody marry. We decided it would be fun just to try it cause we didn't think that it would actually happen. We went into the bathroom and started to chant her name, we said it about three times and we saw a figure move behind us in the refection we had candles in front of us and they went out one by one. We thought that it was just my dad trying to scare us so we stood there pretending to be scared ( bad idea). We stood there looking in the mirror and it looked like someone was standing behind us so my best friend looked right quick to see what was there and she said that nothing was there. I was still looking in the mirror and bloody marry was walking toward us. I could tell that it was her cause she was very bloody and it looked like she was reaching for us as if she wanted to do something to us. We actually thought that it was her and even now that we are in high school we still talk about that night and how we always believe that she is real and that she will only go to people that don't believe in her like we did.

my name is Kathryn, I live in Frisco Texas (near Dallas Texas) I have few stories that are VERY VERY VERY CHILLING!!!
story#1: few years ago when I was only in the third grade, were having a presentation in the gym after school and me and my friends went to the bathroom because we were bored. My friend dared me to do bloody Mary in the girls bathroom and I agreed (at the time I was new to the school and didn't want to look like a baby). it was very scary, there was five girls in the bathroom. we turned out the lights and all of us chanted, "oh why don't you come out and give us all a surprise very bloody surprise, wont you Bloody Mary?" three times while spinning then stopped and waited for 3 Minuets. soon we herd the very terrifying answer," oh yes, oh yes I will." then chuckling and saw 2 huge red eyes crying blood. we all screamed and fled out of the bathroom. later years we still remember those huge eyes.
story#2: last year I Went to Pink Elementary and I was in the 5th grade. you could say I wasn't scared of anything. I was quite known around the school. soon it would Halloween and I was throwing a party. I was inviting twenty girls. 15 showed up and we played games and watched movies. soon it was 12:00 AM. one girl decided she wanted to do bloody Mary. so she went into the bathroom and shut off the light's. We heard her chant the words into the mirror. slowly she began to wail. we opened he door and grabbed my friend. she was wide eyed. she began to cry and begged to go home. After she settled down asked what happened. she turned her head in terror and said, "no no no no no" frantically and wouldn't stop. till this day she still wont say what happened that night.
Story#3: Today me and my friend went on the Internet to look up Bloody Mary. one person said that to never say bloody Mary again. just to say B-Mary. I wanted to test it, so I said B-Mary 13 times in one sentence. nothing happened so we decided to go down stairs to my kitchen.I am on crutches because I broke 2 bones in my foot (don't ask how, you don't want to know.) so it is kinda hard to get down stairs. I was on my way down and all of a sudden something tripped me!I went flying from the first step. when I landed nothing was wrong with me. when I stood up I saw scratches and bruises on my left arm. one scratch was in the shape of a M. I was horrified! Let me tell you, I will never say her full name again!!!!!!

I went to my grandmas house mom dropped us off but grandma and grandpa was at bowling. so steven told this ghost story called candy man and bloody mary. he was scaring us he said everyone each by one is going in the bathroom and saying bloody mary and candy man I went first and I said it I saw faces in the mirror I ran out the bathroom and never saying it again. I saw it in the mirror when I counting. my uncle came and we went to grandmas house it was scary too and it was real don't say her name alone bring 3 or more people.

Me and my friend were spending the night together and I thought it would be funny to bring up the story about bloody mary, well I told her the story that I had been told but she wanted to know if it was true so I told her what to do and then I went and helped her find the stuff then I told her I would go in with her but I wasn't going to do it at all. well I shouldn't have even gone in.
when my friend started to chant bloody mary I started to shake but I didn't know why. when my friend was done chanting she threw water on the mirror and then we saw something glowing I thought it was coming from under the door but it was coming from the mirror. so I started to scream and she told me to shut up. when I did I got this feeling like something was scratching up and down my back it hurt so much that I think I passed out from the pain.
when I woke up the next morning my friend had me lift up my shirt and there were scratches that were at least 1/2 in deep. I asked her what happened and she said that when she saw bloody mary in the mirror I started to scream and then she opened the door and saw that the back of my shirt was soaked with blood then she said I passed out.
I don't know what happened that night and I don't think I ever want to know what really happened but know all I know is that I have scars on my back from that night.

I heard about this bloody mary things and decided to do it but differently. me and my friends had decided to get this spirit on tape so we recorded bloody mary's name 50 times on the tape recorder and we set it right next to the mirror and we set a camera in front of the mirror we also hid another camera on the corner on the ceiling. we turned out the lights and set 3 candles in there. it was 2 in the morning (pitch black with no lights) and we waited 1 hour. we just read some stories people posted on here and played halo. then after that hour with caution we used the key to open the unlocked door and slammed it open and turned on the lights. we removed the camera's and recorders. we played the video. and after number 13 of the word bloody mary the camera got red then green then clear we saw an unclear face but then a white torn robe was standing in front of the recorder and we noticed the blood and slime on the body. she walked around the bathroom for 3 minutes and 12.6 seconds. all she did was wonder around and stare at the tape recorder we laughed so hard XD! it was so weird! when she left nothing happened. then we played the ceiling camera and we saw the most ugly woman I ever saw in my life. she had messed up hair no eyes but blood. her mouth was broken and it dangled open, she looked rather skinny at some points then pregnant and she had nails so long they looked like knifes. her dress was torn but she floated and she floated fast. but most weird of all is there was smoke in the floor when we look closely. we did the same thing at my friends house but nothing happened then we researched that and the only way a ritual works is if you have a ghost in a certain radius. once you summon the bloody mary that ghost is trapped in that mirror watching you. so really what you saw in your experiences was just a ghost with a shape of the bloody mary. and it wont harm you unless your scared. its all a reaction of fear. bloody mary takes over the body of the ghost then acts against the way you act. it will only attack if you say bloody mary I killed your baby,the spirit is angered and will act aggressive to trigger your fear if your not afraid she will stare at you with a ugly face like she did to the tape recorder and if your frozen in fear your outta luck but if you wanna see this mary you gotta do it the way we did but remember a ghost has gotta be near and remember only do this if you want a ghost to be trapped in your mirror XD don't worry when it escapes it cant harm you....this was what we concluded thank you for reading this....

I was sitting at home, talking with one of my friends on the phone. We were both really bored so we started talking about Bloody Mary. I didn't believe any of it so she dared me to try it. So I did. I hung up the phone and walked into the bathroom and locked the door and turned out the light. I said Bloody Mary 3 times and waited for something to happen. Then I felt something touch my shoulder and when I turned around there was nothing there. So I turned back around and faced the mirror and there was a bloody face staring back at me. I was so scared! I turned the light on unlocked the door and ran out. I am NEVER trying that again. This is 100% true!

I was sitting at home watching tv and some story came on about Bloody Mary. I didn't believe a word they were saying and so I decided I'd try it just for fun. So I went in my bathroom and said Bloody Mary 3 times. It got a little bit cold in the room and I started to shiver. Then I heard the most terrifying scream I've ever heard. I ran out and turned on the living room light and sat there trying to block out what I had just heard. My ears were still ringing. And that is my story.

A lot of people don't believe in Bloody Mary and maybe you don't believe in Bloody Mary too but I am telling you that Bloody mary is true I saw her by my eyes.
one day I was along at my house my parents were gone to do some shopping for Christmas I was above 12-13 and then I called my friend to come to my house because she was along to at her house, so she came to my house we were just talking about our school that we started to talk about Bloody Mary and then we decided to try it, we were not so scared because we don't use to believe in "Bloody Mary" and we went in bathroom closed the lights and light about 5 candles around the washroom,and we said "Bloody mary" about 7 times after 5 minutes I saw a Bloody face in the mirror I scream so loud. It was so scary I will suggest no one try Bloody mary but if you want to so you are welcome.

Sure you may not believe in Bloody Mary, but you don't know me. It all started at my 12th birthday party (It was a Sleepover) and we started talking about Bloody Mary so we decided to try it. Before I could object my friend pulled my into the bathroom (With all the other girls following us in). I had 10 girls over at my Sleepover and the bathroom was getting crowded, because of course it wasn't the biggest bathroom. We started to repeat h*** mary and the 13th time my friend screamed "she's going to get me!!" (Because she's a wimp), and I was about to tell her it was probably her own reflection in the mirror. That's when I saw her. She had eyes that seemed to go on endlessly, with blood pouring from her face. I screamed (Along with my friends) and tried to turn on the lights, but it wouldn't turn on. I screamed again and said "Oh, s***! The mirror was covered in blood and when we heard a strange noise coming from the shower we tried to open the door, but that didn't work either. Her hands reached out to grab my friend Amy. Just then the door opened and my mom was standing in the doorway and was furious. She told us why the heck we were screaming at 12:20 am! (And she would have said a lot more if my friends weren't here). We told her what happened and she thought we were so tired we imagined things. After that night, I almost never wanted to look at another mirror AGAIN! After 2 years me and my friends still talk about it, and I only get even more scared.

WELL LETS SEE, WE POSTED OUR FIRST SIGHTING OF "BLOODY MARY" WE DECIDED IT WASN'T SAFE FOR YOUNG GIRLS TO DO THIS. BUT WE THOUGHT WE WERE IMAGINING IT BECAUSE WE WERE ALL A LITTLE HYPER. SO WE THOUGHT IT OUT AND TRIED IT AGAIN. BIG MISTAKE! WE SAID THE CHANT, BLOODY MARY MARY WORTH, BLOODY MARY MARY WORTH ETC. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WELL OBVIOUSLY WE WERE LEFT STANDING IN THE BATHROOM HUMILIATED SO WE WALKED OUT. WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR EYES! A LADY IN A WHITE GOWN WAS STAINED RED. BLOOD RED! SHE HAD BLACK HAIR. SHE WAS QUITE A BEAUTY WE THOUGHT BUT...SHE TURNED AROUND AND THIS AWFUL HAG STARED BACK. SHE SCOWLED AND STARTED WALKING UP TO US. SO SCARED DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. BUT QUICK THINKER SARAH THOUGHT TO SAY THE CHANT BACKWARDS INTO THE MIRROR MIGHT HELP SO..WE CHANTED, WORTH MARY, MARY BLOODY ETC. OVER AND OVER. THE LADY IN THE GOWN VANISHED AND TO OUR RELIEF WE WERE FINE. SO WE THOUGHT...THE NEXT MORNING WE HAD MASSIVE SCRATCHES ALL OVER OUR BODIES.

All week my friends were talking about bloody mary. My friend Kristen tried the bloody mary thing, you know, say bloody mary 3 times, have all the water running, turn off the lights, and lock the door. yeah, she's crazy for trying it. Anyway, when she did it she said she didn't see bloody mary. but, there was writhing on the wall written in blood. It said "you will have a bloody marriage." then she said that dancing zombies appeared on a painting above the toilet. I don`t believe the dancing zombies, but I kind of believe the blood writing. the night after that, I woke up in the middle of the night. you know how when you can`t go back to sleep you stare out into space? yup, that's me staring at the glow from my window. all of a sudden a shadow ran across the glow from my window. I was so scared that I ran down stairs leaving my little brother there all by himself (luckily he wasn't awake). I'm not sure if I was just paranoid about bloody mary!

on a Friday me and my friends Rachel, Kate, and Ryan were having a sleep over. we were over my house. Ryan went on the computer and looked up bloody mary. he wanted to do it, so he ask me, Rachel, Kate if we wanted to do it. Rachel said no so did Kate. so it was just me and Ryan. we went to the bathroom and it was really pitch black. Ryan stared chanting. the 99th time he said it she appeared. Ryan scream really loud. I almost fainted. Ryan tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge open. Rachel and Kate tried to open the door. when it open Ryan was bleeding on his leg and arm. I wasn't bleeding at all. so that night we didn't went to the bathroom. To this day none of us ever go to the bathroom late at night. (btw this is true)

megan and I (laura) were at megans house on our own at about 8:00.
it was quite dark and after our bloody mary story we tested out candyman.
we went into the bathroom and chanted candyman etc 3 times and nothing whatsoever happened.
so if you think its all real it isn't.

About two summers ago, my mom and I went to go get a mani/pedi at my best friends moms nail shop. My mom decided to go first so I could hang out with my friend for a while. We stared to talk to some of the people there and the topic bloody mary was brought up. One of the ladies there told me that when she was about our age she tried bloody mary and had scratches on her arms. I didn't believe her because I'm not the type who gets scared easily. I looked at my friend and said do you want to try it? She looked at me and said that was a stupid question. Which meant no. She gets scared easily and doesn't like bloody mary or candyman. After about ten minutes of convincing, I finally got her to do it with me. In the back of the nail shop there is a tiny room with a mirror a little smaller than a closet door. As we went in there, she asked if she could stand by the door just in case we needed to get out. I told her that since she's standing by the door to keep her finger on the light so we could turn it on when we run out. We both took a deep breath so we could concentrate and then we started to chant bloody mary. We chanted it about thirteen times when I started to see a white figure in the mirror. My friend couldn't see it because she had her eyes closed. As we kept chanting the figure kept getting closer. The figure got so close, that you could see that she was really bloody. I told my friend to open her eyes and she screamed bloody murder and ran out of the room leaving me in there with the light off and the door closed. I was standing there in awe when my friend opened the door and grabbed me to get me out. She practically dragged me out of the room. I had a scratch on my arm and so did she. Surprisingly I wasn't really scared but I was in shock. I couldn't believe what I saw. The woman that told us about bloody mary said see she is real. I probably would do bloody mary again because she doesn't scare me.

Me and my friends were in the bathroom putting on make-up for a high school dance and we got on the topic of bloody mary. My friends wanted to try it after we got back home in a hour. I told them it wouldn't be a very good idea. When we were putting our lipstick on we looked into the mirror and we saw a blurry picture. My friend Matty was screaming and she was getting bloody cuts all over her body. I told her to get out now so she wouldn't get hurt. Then after she left My other friends Kayla and Brittanie and I saw Bloody mary in a white gown with red blood in her hair. Kayla and I never believed in ghosts and Legends but since we didn't even call her name we were really scared. After we got out of the bathroom. Matty had scars all over and there was a puddle of blood right next to her. Kayla called her parents to look at what happened to Matty. Kayla and her family re-constructed that bathroom because when ever you went in that bathroom you could hear scratching noises and then you would she a puddle of blood. To this day I'm scared to even read what people tell their stories. My friend almost died and we didn't even summon her. So please don't make the mistake and try it and risk your life.

It had been a normal day at school. Me and my friends spent most of the day talking about Bloody Mary and some other urban legends. I was trying to ignore them because I don't believe in Bloody Mary. (Or at least I didn't) They told me that if I was so brave then I should try it and prove to them that she wasn't real. So after school we all went over to one of my friends apartments and we lit some candles in the bathroom and turned out the lights. We shut and locked the door and all of us stood in front of the mirror. We started chanting Bloody Mary over and over. When we said her name about 5 times we all stopped. Nothing happened and I was just about to say, "I told you so!" When Sarah (who was standing at the back) screamed louder than anything any of us had ever heard. She dropped to her knees and just sat there. We all surrounded her to see what was wrong. We kept asking if she was okay and what happened. All she did was point to the mirror. The bathroom was dark and had been hard to see until we looked at the mirror and there she was. A bloody face staring back at us in the mirror. We all screamed and ran out of the bathroom and even out of the apartment to the street. We finally stopped and looked at Sarah and she had scratches all over her face and arms. We all know that we will never try that again. Now I truly believe that there is a Bloody Mary. I'm warning you all do not try Bloody Mary!

Once me and my friends, Sophie and Jenna were having a sleep-over and Jenna came up with the idea of Bloody Mary. Sophie's house has a cellar with a small bathroom in it so we crept in there at 2:00 with 3 blood red candles and a torch. We were all scared but more scared that Sophies dad Mr. Miller was going to wake up as he is a strong believer in evil spirits and wouldn't want his daughter messing around with this sort of stuff. The room had one huge square mirror so we sat on tall stools holding our burning candles whispering BLOODY MARY. BLOODY MARY. BLOODY MARY. BLOODY MARY. BLOODY MARY. BLOODY MARY at least 17 times before looked around and hearing an evil screech and a babies cry. We didn't dare move or look into the mirror, we just sobbed, keeping our eyes closed until I dared to look at the dark mirror. What I saw was my own reflection. Or at least that's what I thought. After awhile I realized it couldn't be me, my hair was past my hips, and brown, this persons hair was shorter than mine and soaked in blood. Jenna screamed and yelled "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!" and all of us shrieked and felt around the walls for the door. "NO DOOR" screamed Sophie, "WE'RE GONNA DIE!" we looked around in horror and realized she was right, the walls were bare and Mary was giggling like a maniac and pointing at us. Suddenly we were back in our room and realized we were scratched all down our arms and on our neck. We refused to say anything from that day forth.

look, me and three friends did this deal. we did not see her! but I will tell u that very next week we all had a dream. I swear, first of all I did not do this to myself! my sister saw it that night.... well we was in a deserted building. it was round with shower heads. we was nude. one by one we would go out. I was last. in all of our dreams. I know it is said no one can have the same dream. but no one said nothing but all of us wrote it in a note and gave it to each other at the same time. well I seen a tornado dill. I remember opening it. and a hand grabbed me. the fingernails was like my grandmothers. deep red. I screamed and the hand was gone. well it skipped to me being older. I was in the pool and yes alone. and a woman that looked like my grandmother was at the other end.
I know ya'll say that it was bloody marry u say u saw. but I do believe it is what ever ghost in the area. I have used one of them boards to. it did not do nothing. but if u don't believe me I'll be checking this!

We have a ladies thing at our church,almost every night. So, when my two BFF's from there came in,and we started our mini-sleep-over like we always do. I brought a ''sleep-over Book For Daring Girls'' Book, and they have such cool stuff. We did a lot of it, and then we flipped on a page:Bloody Mary.Pg. 1001. So, me and my friends began to read, and we raced into the ladies room. Now, my friend Emily is younger than us, so we decided that me & my friend Sarene would say it.
So we did-and nothing happened, so we left, but then when we went to the kitchen in our church-we started hearing weird thing. I went on my IAP texter, & I someone named ''bloodymary'' was like,''I am gunna kill u'' I showed my 2 friends-we were so freaked!
Then we kept seeing shadows! When we went in, we saw her! I almost passed out! Me & my friends still se and hear weird things! When I went onto our website that we chat on & stuff, and its a private website, you need a password-all of us where on-& someone came on...named BLOODYMARY6! I was so freaked, and so were my friends, are still being haunted!!

My best friend Emily and I were bored out of our minds so we went into the closet and started telling scary stories and I told bloody mary. I believe that she was in high school on a prom night and bloody mary fell and hit her forehead on the side of a desk and got knocked out and one kid found her and put her in a crate and locked it and bloody mary died. Emily started saying I dare I dare you and then I gave in so me and Emily went in the bathroom and whispered her name 13 times and we were spinning around and opened our eyes every time we spinned and we saw a face getting clearer and clearer and then we were done we saw the whole thing. She had a dirty white dress and a pale white face with scars on it. So we ran out and never did that again. Please DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. IT FOR you own good.

Every teenager has at some point and time in their lives thought of the supernatural. My friends and I are no exception. It was that time of the year when life is stagnant and ghost stories and urban legends live within our world, running amuck (sp?) turning our world topsy turvy. It was one particular fall evening or I should say morning. It was after midnight when there's nothing on TV and conversations has already turned and passed over boys, shoes and who's pregnant now. We breached my favorite topic, Scary Stories. Story after Story was recalled and retold for the millionth time, then Jessy told us of her. The famous Bloody Mary. Her voice dropped down to a mere whisper as she drove us forward towards our destiny. I retrieved a candle and matches and we congregated in the bathroom. I could hear the breathing of my friends accelerate to a point of near anxiety. If I listened closely I could almost hear their hearts, beating in unison with mine I was sure. I, being the brave one, volunteered to do it as my friends are chickens and proud of it. I closed my eyes and listened as their feet smacked against the floor, the last click of the door. The sound of the rain pitter pattering on the roof grew in intensity. I stared into the flame to gain my courage, then looked into the depths of the mirror and chanted her name. Once. Twice. On the third time around a peal of thunder shook the house and seemed to hang in the air. That's when I saw her. She appeared to be crying bloody tears and she looked angry. Just as she reached for me, my candle went out and I flipped on the light. She was gone but I wasn't alone. My friends came in and walked me back to Jessy's room. They held me as I told them of the woman. My body convulsed with fear but after a while I forgot the bloody tears and her angry accusing face.

Hi I am 24, the first time I ever heard about bloody mary was when I was 16. I wasn't always that interested in paranormal subjects because it just freaked me out too much but I have had many strange experience mainly when I am falling a sleep or am dreaming.
Any way this story is a bit long but goes as follows.
One day my friend was telling me about her doing the bloody mary ritual the previous night. Her and her best friend thought it would be fun to try it and after the 13th time they saw blood oozing from the mirror. They claim the story to be true and they were shaking while retelling their experience so I can hardly say they were lying. Well that night I thought I would try it.
Unlucky for me two of my bedroom walls are mirrored cupboards so I could turn left or right and still see my reflection...
So I just did it in my bedroom instead of my bathroom.
I turned the lights off and only had strands of light coming through from the blinds (no didn't used a candle).
I said it like 3 times and nothing happened mind you I got creeped out since I was doing it alone and turned the lights back on.
So this is where it gets really weird. I was getting into bed and the bloody mary line just kept playing over and over in my head no matter how hard I tried to brush it off. I looked at my mirrors for the last time that night before sinking into a deep disturbing sleep. The entire dream was about bloody mary. But for some strange reason it was day light when it happened. I felt cold hands wrap around my neck and so I force myself out of bed and look into the mirror. I can see a very very detailed face of a black haired lady with blood dripping down her face appear behind me in the reflection (mind you back then I had never been told nor had I ever seen what bloody mary actually looked like so it was very odd that I knew straight away who it was).
She is seething at me for disturbing her sleep through summoning her and then turning the lights that she has been waiting in my mirror for me to come to her again.....in my sleep. She pulls my hair and digs her fingers into my neck till I bleed. I turn to look at the mirror it begins to drip with blood like the way my friends had described it.
Out of the blue mum runs into the room and she screams because she cant see mary but she can see me being controlled by something and my bleeding neck. Mary refuses to loosen her hold on me. And then I feel this cold sensation go through me. Once I look into the mirror again, I am not me any more I feel I have become her by mentally and physically. Instead of having black hair I have become her complete opposite with white hair but still fair skin and scary cold white eyes. I am being possessed by her spirit. I feel dark yet triumphant and start speaking angry words and laugh at the girl in the mirror but I don't understand why. I start playing with the blood on the mirror and more seems to come out on my command. I put some on my lips to make up my face. With that I start reciting a line similar to the one out of sleeping beauty "mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all" As I stare into the mirror my mum comes into view and she is telling me to come back, the real me and she can see I am physically different and have an evil voice. So she breaks the mirror as a mean of controlling Mary to break the possession. I scream.
When I wake up in the real world I feel really cold and a strange presence around me but I cant explain it. When I look at the mirror in morning light I realize maybe me saying her name over and over again in my head before bed after trying to summon her with the lights out was why she came to me in my sleep. She was scaring me in my dreams but did not scar me physically....thankfully
Any way that's my story and the dream was real so I hope you liked it.
