Bird-Flu has potential to be Pandemic

Research scientist says a flu pandemic is brewing that may change modern civilization in ways that will go beyond our wildest imagination soon. Physicians are observing the creation of a super strain of the influenza virus, so-called bird flu, that has the potential to kill millions of men, women, and children in every nation. According to the World Health Organization, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a recipe for disaster is clearly in the mixing stage for manifestation worldwide. We stand on the abyss of a global pandemic, a wildfire-like viral event that will start like the flick of a matchstick, then burn everything in its path, leaving civil disorder and misery in its aftermath on an unprecedented-scale. But what can we do other than prepare ourselves for the inevitabledeath of our society as we know it? Other than prudent physical safety and medical precautions, we can also boost our immune systems psychologically against the true number one killer: s-t-r-e-s-s. Just look at what has happened to millions upon millions of people impacted by natural disasters in the past year alone from earthquakes, hurricanes, and tsunamis: Yet now there is hope! Through inoculating our cells with a potent new biology of belief vaccine, one that employs cutting-edge insights into the power of prayer, and the medically-documented miracles of meditation, we can survive these cataclysmic earth changes claims clinical hypnotherapist Dr. John Jay Harper of the American Delphi Academy in Spokane, Washington. Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century is the true story about this authors contact with a dead physicist colleague, and his telepathic communication that forced him to seek scientific answers to these spiritual questions: Who are we? Why are we here? Where are we going? *Some more information:

Hello Shana,

This book contains nothing but photos of starships in the night sky. It is not to convince people to believe in ufos, but to get them to look up and see for themselves.  I have had other's to say they are stars but stars do not have structure shape like these do.

Anyone can get  see these objects in the night sky and see their movement. I have seen the beings that fly in these space craft and they do put on a cloak and look like a spirit. I think many times people are seeing these beings and they think they are ghosts.

I would love for your help in making people aware of what hovers above them. If you see what looks like a low star, get you a camera and look through the lens and you will see the wobble movement of it. These beings are not going away and people need to be aware they are hovering above us.

Thank you Shana and if you would like to know a little more about my experiences, Weekly Universe wrote and article on me. Go to...

Thank you and have a very nice day.

Sincerely,
Venda

The Hunt on DVD on March 20, 2007

From the director of Children of the Corn.

If you don't know you're the prey, how can you survive ... THE HUNT

On a chilly fall morning, Jack Hamberg, his eight-year-old stepson and cameraman Atticus Monroe head into the woods to make an instructional hunting video when their outing takes a disturbing turn. While trespassing on restricted land, they stumble upon the relics of a bizarre religious monument and soon realize they're being stalked by someone or something not of this earth!

The Hunt is an alarmingly frightening film (directed by Fritz Kiersch of Children of the Corn fame) that combines horrific elements of The Blair Witch Project and Predator. You'll be on the edge of your seat from beginning to shocking end!

The Hunt - Movie Review
????? - How many stars?

I have been watching Horror | Paranormal movies for many years. Even took the time to watch the 'B' Movies, and some to me were unfairly rated as "B" while others I would've placed as "F" and "G". ( What can I say? Video Store by my apartment had them for a $1.00 each to rent! ) This movie? I will not rate - see it yourself and make your own mind about it.

I believe I am a fair reviewer. I take the time to see, and then tell you if 'worthy' or not, point out the flaws, etc.. Some make the cut, some just don't - not every movie gets a 5 star rating. Then, there are some movies, that 'rattle' the nerves of some people, while a seasoned Horror Fan like me, ( with nerves of steel of course! ), will watch and go, "Oh - OK." without missing a heartbeat.

Now, I will admit to you, I never saw "The Blair Witch Project." Didn't have an interest in it, ( still don't ), so call me 'psychic' but something just didn't feel right about it, and not long after, I find out it wasn't 'real' as they first claimed. So, you may be asking, why I am mentioning it? Well because, it has those back and forth camera scenes that takes time to adjust to.

I will give you an 'all time blooper' I found; watch when 'John', ( Clint's Dad ), finds the "bug" under the coffee table - look to the left in the back, you'll see a guy, in a cap and jacket, standing in the background, just not keeping still enough that I couldn't spot him!

OK, on with the review...

Slow start, as the explanation as to what is going on builds up. Has some interesting moments once they are in the forest, and strange 'things' start happening. It gets you then as all comes together to the final and end product. Very cute ending, and I am sure a certain 'crowd' will understand well. :O)

What else can I say? Without giving away spoilers, if you enjoyed 'The Blair Witch Project', and Being that the Director is the same who did 'The Children of the Corn' you may then wish to give this movie a go. If movie scenes going back and forth, and slow intro. bring you down, just avoid it, this movie takes patience - for you don't get to see who is really hunting who, until near the end.....

Season of the Witch:

Prepare to be seduced…

A gothic thriller for the twenty-first century, Season of the Witch tells the tale of two beautiful witch sisters and the love triangle that consumes the man sent to investigate them.

Gabriel Blackstone is a hacker, information thief, and skilled “remote viewer” – he makes an excellent living stealing other people’s secrets. When a former lover asks him to look into the disappearance of her stepson, Gabriel’s investigations lead him to Monk House, a rambling Victorian home where time seems to stand still. Gabriel becomes increasingly bewitched by the house, and by its owners, the beautiful, enigmatic Morrighan and Minnaloushe Monk.

The sisters are “solar” witches, obsessed with the study of alchemy and the Art of Memory, a practice invented by the ancient Greeks. Gabriel believes that his client’s son has been murdered and that one of the women is the killer. But which one? Gabriel finds himself drawn inexorably deeper into the sisters’ complex world – becoming entranced even as he realizes he is in mortal danger.

Swirling together elements of the Matrix, Interview with the Vampire, and The Historian, this enthralling novel takes on big themes – love, death, alchemy, the power of the human mind to transform and transcend reality – and will beguile and entrance all who turn its pages.

The Other Side of Silence:

Grounded in an ancient musical paradox, Natasha Mostert’s thrilling second novel is a tour-de-force of mystery and violence.

A killer computer game. The most compelling music the world has ever known. An ancient riddle. And two brilliant men and the woman they both love, setting out on a forbidden quest that will lead the world to the edge of chaos.

It is called The Angels’ Key – a wildly successful computer game that has taken the world by storm. Seduced by the eerie music generated by the game, fans play the game obsessively. There are those who worry about the way the music hypnotizes its listeners; others, that its addicts can become violent – bust most are simply captivated by its beauty.

Behind the music from The Angels’ Key are two exceptional young men: Jon Falconer, American computer genius and gifted mathematician, and his friend, the brilliant but troubled Englishman, Stephen Yale. Their goal is to create a perfect musical scale, and with the help of the enormous computing power the game’s addicts bring when they play it, they are getting very close to success.

But at the heart of The Angels’ Key lies one of the oldest and deadliest mysteries in the science of sound. As eager fans log onto the game, the riddle is slowly but surely starting to unlock…

As the sinister implications of The Angels’ Key become evident, Jon desperately strives to terminate his invention but is thwarted in his efforts by Stephen who has his own reasons for wanting to keep the game alive. And caught in the middle is the woman they both desire and ultimately the only person who can stop a chilling prophecy from becoming a terrifying reality.

::Planet Terror Review::

Rating - ***** 5 Stars!
( Wish I could go higher! )

This movie is the 'Jumbalya' of all movies - with a bit of everything which makes it all just right!

Creepy, Gross, Funny, Romantic, Gore and drama at every turn! I never thought a movie could have all this and still be good. I found myself not being able to take my eyes off of it!

'Cherry' and 'El Rey' are just the kind of Heroes you like - always with a quip no matter the situation! The romance doesn't overpower the main goal which is to not only survive the reign of terror, but to get all survivors to a safe place as well. Sound impossible? Not for these characters! Each one has their own special 'abilities' which all together make them quite a force!

No bad acting or boring parts here - this is non stop action! I was even happily surprised with some parts that were unexpected in the 'what would happen next' department - which hasn't happened to me in a very long time!

Gore your main thing? Besides 'melting' bodies - there is one scene that will definitely knock your socks off - you have been warned - don't blame me if you get queasy! LOL

So to not give away any spoilers - Director Robert Rodriguez did a superb job, for this movie is surprisingly refreshing, bringing fabulous Actors and Actresses that all together makes this one of the best thrilling movies made in a long time - If you like Horror and Gore, mixed in with some laughs and romance, ( a bit for everyone here! ) - get the two disc DVD!

'Season Of the Witch'
By: Natasha Mostert
Book Review
Rating **** ( 4 stars )

Gabriel Blackstone, cunning, and witty. Remote Viewer for Project Eyestorm, and 'thief for hire.'

Isidore, lover of loud music, computer junkie, hacker, and Gabriel's partner in crime.

Together, they hack into security systems - stealing company data - pirating information. All seemed to be going fine, until the day Gabriel got the call, which unbeknownst to him at the time, would change the course of his life, leading him on a magical path.

The 'job' seemed simple enough, to locate the missing son of William Whittington, Robbie. Until he realizes this isn't as simple as it sounds - Frankie, ( Cecily Franke, nicknamed Frankie ), an old lover and Remote Viewer for Project Eyestorm as well, is now married to Mr. Whittington.

Reluctantly agreeing to take the case, the path leads him to two sisters - Morrighan and Minnaloushe - in which he begins his fascinating journey.

Morrighan with her raven dark hair, and Minnaloushe, her hair a flaming color red, are suspects to Robbie's disappearance. Seductive, and dabblers of Alchemy, the Occult. The Monk Sisters are 'Solar Witches', and practitioners of the 'Art of Memory' ( a process of building memory palaces in the mind to achieve transformation and ultimate power ) - One is the killer - but to find which one leads Gabriel deeper and deeper into Love for one - and a world of magic and enchantments.

Can Gabriel survive the 'spell' to unravel the mystery, find the killer - and make it out in one piece?

**************

Season of the Witch begins with the description of Gabriel, in his almost uncaring mannerisms and egotistical behavior, but do continue on, and he is stripped down, bit by bit, to uncover how he became that way, and the true person he is beneath.
