Several hauntings have been reported here. In the Rotunda, the spirit of an employee can be seen moving about carrying a tray. In the Senate, the ghost of a worker accidentally sealed alive into a wall during construction is still said to roam the building. It's also been reported that a room filled with statues of presidents and congressmen once came to life. Lastly, the basement is said to be haunted by a black cat that seems to foretell impending disaster.

The spirit of an elderly housekeeper has been seen floating about on the third floor.

Numerous hauntings. President Harrison is often heard in the attic, Lincoln has been spotted in his bedroom and Abigail Adams has been seen spiriting about the place as if doing laundry.

The spirit of a co-ed killed here almost fifty years ago appears ion the staircase and fifth floor lounge. She has also been known to make an occasional appearance in the dorm rooms, as well.

The footsteps of John Wilkes Booth's footsteps can often be heard running up the back staircase towards the presidential box.

Once used as The White House during Madison's term, this home which was build by Colonel John Tahoe is said to be haunted by his daughter who was pregnant and tossed herself to hr death from the top banister. She is said to haunt her, as well as the spirits of the Colonel and some previous slaves.
