-Devil's Castle, Greenville.
There is an old home located near Paris Mountain that is said to have once been a hospital for the criminally insane. If you sit at the bottom of the driveway late at night, you can see shadows running about the property. Also, you can sometimes see unexplained flickering lights.
Devil's Castle was actually a big tuberculosis sanitarium. Long empty, it attracted thrill seekers, the homeless and druggies, who might have been the shadows running about the property. It was in bad shape. One of those unexplained flickering lights finally set it on fire, I guess a couple of years ago. What was left has been bulldozed for a park (>yawn<).

Central Catholic High School in Reading. There are stories of a
ghost but no one ever says what is seen. One day as I was
traveling up Hill Road in front of the school I passed a girl who
may have been 17 she was dressed strangly in a white long dress
with no sleeves, the style of the dress looked very old. I looked
at her and she had a vacant look in her face as I proceeded up the
street I thought "somethings not right about her" I looked in my
rearview mirror to find that she was gone. I turned my car around
and looked for her but found her no where. She was as solid as
you and me. She was not like a fog, she was real, yet she was
gone.

Me and my family have been renting a house for the past 3 years. I
think their is a ghost in the house. All my friends know about it,
and they beleve me. When my mom and I where in the kitchen, We
were standing the smae direction. I thought i felt somebody behind
me so i turned and looked around. No one. My mom, just when i
turned back around, said my dads name because she thought he was
present. So both of us had the same feeling. I'm not scared by
this ghost but i want to know why he/she is with us. Maybe you can

I think well I am sure that there is a ghost in my house you see
my dad woke up on night to the dog playing with someone or
somthing he noticed that the dog had hand prints in his hair. He
sat up and say a lady standing there wearing levi shorts and a
white shirt. She said, " come on help me help me" . She went to
the to the middle of the living room floor where the blood spot
was and said on last time,"help me". And then she disapeared. My
dad got up and he checked on me and it wasn't me! Please help.

At Daisy Mae's Stronghold, there is a ghost named charlie (among
many others) who haunts this restaurant. The building was built
back in the 1800's, and was used as a fort, a post office (back in
the pony express days), a brothel, and now a restaurant.
sometimes candles will light by themselves, the piano will play by
itself, or things will move around unexplainably. It is uncommon,
but voices are sometimes heard in the very back near the room
where charlie was killed.

Thomas Jefferson high school has a ghost of a little girl with a
blue dress. Janitors and a lot of security guards have seen her,
even some students.I don't know why she haunts it or who she is
but I read some article on some web site about Thomas Jefferson
himself and it said something about him having a daughter that
always wore a blue dress. I wonder if it has any relations.

a friend and I spent the night at the Historic Hassayampa Hotel in downtown Prescott, Arizona. around 10 pm. we heard a loud moan and then a cold breeze and a real chill come into the room. later that
night as we slept, my friend had recurring nightmares of being electrocuted, ( I had to wake her up twice) . I would sleep fitfully, but the phrase " It is not enough Bartholomew" kept going in and out of my head. In the morning when I repeated this phrase to my friend, an immediate jolt of electricity went through both of us and the air in the room become static with electricity. WE checked out as fast as we could and asked the front desk about any hauntings. They told us about a woman named "faith" who had committed suicide
on the floor we were staying. I would like to do more research on who Faith was and maybe who "Bartholomew" is.

Back in 1927, Faith and her husband checked into the inn for their honeymoon. Staying in the balcony suite, the husband went out to buy a pack of cigarettes and never came back. After waiting for three days, she hung herself in the room.
There are numerous sightings of Faith all throughout the inn. From crying at the end of a bed, to holding flowers, to a ghostly vision dressed in a pink gown in the hallway, to random disappearances into rooms.
Staff reports that her presence can do things from shutting off the gas burners on the kitchen stove to the spilling of coffee at the mention of doing research about her.

The Peter Bushman house is haunted! If You live there I swear you'll
hear screaming. I visited there once and I had to use the bathroom
and I saw blood droplets in the sink, I just ignored it though,

starting when I was a small child - I'm now past 50. I always knew
they were supernatural spirits, but didn't know whether to actually
call them ghosts, or not. Several of the beings looked like
people - one looked just like my dead grandfather, and told me he
was. I now believe these are demon spirits - angels of satan - and
the ones who look like people you know are "familiar spirits."
They take on the appearance and behavior of a dead loved one, and
even have knowledge about that person in order to trick us into
trusting them. This is a very dangerous thing to people who are

When I stayed at my friends house I witnessed my very first ghost
experience. There are three ghosts that haunt their house. Ones
name is Gill he died there in 1859. There is also two other girls
who haunts that house but we don't know who they are. When I stayed
there we went up stairs into Gills room and I didn't believe my
friend when she said it was haunted so she said she would prove
it. So she spit right there in that room. Not even a half a
second later she goes ouch my neck hurts and I looked at her neck
and it looked as if someone or something pinched her so we ran down
stairs and when we got down to the bottom we heard something
pounding on the walls so we ran to my house and stayed there
instead to this day I never ever go over there.

I go to jefferson junior high school (one of the ohio stories).
I've heard of the bell storie (check it out!) but there is one
about the 4th floor.Okay well on the 4th floor there's only 2
classrooms (still used today). Well there's another door that's
blocked off. Supposedly it's goes to the top of the bell tower.
They say that they used to allow student's to go up there but
one "fell" off so they blocked it off. A pumpkin appears every
year on top of the school so they say it's either the janitor that
died or the girl that fell off!

The location is at 968 Faith Rock Road and the surrounding
properties. During October the location is actually used as a
Haunted Attraction for Halloween.
One structure on the property was locally known as the Wagon Wheel
Club, a bootleg and illegal gambling house throughout the 70's and
80's. During this time a number of reported and unreported murders
took place. Some say that the bodies of men who were killed over
a drunken brawl or cheating were buried in the back of the
property near the river.
Another structure on the property (now used as the Haunted House)
is well known as the location where 2 young girls were found
murdered in the 1970's. Their bodies were found under a floor that
had been recently replaced, months after they were buried their.
The ghost of the young girls have been seen numerous times
wandering the property, even during operating hours.
Of the most famous ghost that is believed to haunt the property is
that of Andrew Hunter. In 1780, Hunter rode through the woods of
the Fear Zone location to escape being killed by David Fanning
during the Revolutionary War. At night the figure of a horse
racing through the trails can be seen and the sounds of gunshots
heard throughout the woods. During the war, Fanning also hung and
killed numerous victims on the property and over other parts of
Randolph & Chatham Counties. The sound of drums is also frequently
heard coming from the river where soldiers camped.
There are also stories of a young woman who was murdered and
dropped by the riverside in the 1940's. She was found months
later. Her ghost seems to wander the riverbanks now looking for
the man who killed her. Her ghost has only been known to bother
males.
Local neighbors have reported hearing gunshots and screams coming
from the old bootleg joint late at night and finding no one there.
In 2002, the property became a haunted attraction during October.
Many of the staff and workers reported seeing a young girl, wet
and covered in mud, walking through the trail. All men of course.
They said to have also heard the drums many times while working at
night on the event. A little girls voice can be heard at times
screaming for her mother and evil laughs will echo the property at
times. Is it someone out in the woods playing Halloween pranks, or
are they witnessing the many ghost that are believed to haunt the
property? Members of our staff now work in groups while at the
event and never wander alone on the property we were told. "Yes!
We're scared to death of this place, and we aren't afraid to admit
it." The producers said. Another neighbor in the area describes
the property as pure evil! Evil when it was a bootleg joint and
even more evil now that it has been shut down.
The property is still leased by the production company and it is
not accessible except during Halloween season and while they are
try to go see it.

My daughter moved back into an old rather large house, of which
she formally rented about a year ago with no problem. Since then,
the owners have refurbised and brought in antique furniture and
put on a new roof. There was an elderly gentleman that lived
downstairs for many years and who was the town historian. I
believe he has passed away within the past two years. His son
still lives there in another apt. My daughter moved back into the
house two weeks ago and has experienced her hologram picture of a
ballet dancer on her dresser being moved from one direction to
another. She put down tape to see if it has been moved and yes it
had. She has since become very afraid and has called us long
distance the other night after she came home again and found it
moved. While on the phone, we told her to put the picture into a
drawer and she did. She then became very afraid and started to
hear wispers and felt very nervous. She then ran out of the apt.
and called us back. She went back into the apt. with a friend and
gave the picture to her friend to take and throw away... She then
left her cell phone on while she took a shower while we talked
with her. She wants to move out, but doesn't really have another
place to move right now and she is unemployed. Did this picture
attrack a ghost or is it the older gentlemen haunting the house.
She has been sensitive to spirits since she was very little, as we
had a problem in our home in her bedroom years ago. She was able
to see them and they frightened her very much. We finally had to
get a ghost hunter to come and help us rid our home of spirits.
Everything is fine at home. She is living alone currently in
Montanha the past two years. What should she do????? I am her
mother in Minnesota inquiring for her.

Whom or what may be the cause of the haunting I cannot say. Certain spirits are binded to their once material items, and since antique furniture was brought in, that could be the cause. The older Gentleman, if he is still attached to the place, could be the reason also. The picture could have been just the one object that the spirit decided to move, as it could've been attracted to it - Too many 'maybes' and it cannot be said for sure without an investigation within the dwelling.
Also, you mentioned something very important, That she is a sensitive, (can sense Spirits). Being this the fact, she will encounter them, either off and on, or frequently, no matter where she goes or moves to. Maybe facing up to her fears and asking them to not scare her, and/or bother her, in a respectful way, will save her from another move.

When my sister was young she told my mother of strange happenings
in the room that would later become mine. My sister spoke of little
men doing what appeared to be dancing in front of the window
(inside the house). She also reported that they wore strange hats.
My mother was confused and did not know what to do. She found an
Islamic prayer written in arabic. She recited the prayer and kept
in the room with my sister. My sister never saw anything strange
again. A few years later I was born and moved into the same room.
Sure enough as soon as I was old enough to talk I was reporting the
the same little men dancing at the same window. Strange
coincidence? To this day I do not know. However once again after my
sightings my mother used the same prayer once again. After that I
never saw them again. I haven't heard anything about tiny spirits
before, and I was wondering if my sister and I are the only ones
who have experienced something of that nature?

I have recently done played with an ouija board and my 2 friends that were there one of them took their hands of the board when we had the gates open! ever since that I have had strange things happen like I had my shoes on the floor out of my way and then they were moved so I'd trip over them. and I didn't move them and I asked my parents and

Last night, me and some friends spent the night at
my sisters house which she just recently bought.My
friends told me that I woke up in the middle of
the night and was being choked by something. I
remember parts of being choked and not being able
to breath. They said that I got up off the couch

I went to this park called Hummel Park.It is said to be the most
haunted place in the state. Anyway, My cousin Rose and I heard of
the park and it's history and decided to find out more of it. Well,
we went to the park at around 8:00 P.M. We walked up the stairs and
of course counted a different number when we came back down. We
also saw the altars.(So scary)We were walking around in the woods
and was chased out by running footsteps and loud breathing. When we
were a good distance from the park we stoped running. We were so
scared that I had to call my bf Dillon on my cousins cell. When he
came we still felt like someone was with us. We turned around and
wind blew like something ran away just as we turned around. Dillon
said we were crazy. I never wanna go to Hummel Park again!!

there is a house that is abandoned that is haunted supposedly by
ghosts of people that were hanged there long ago. There is no
doors or windows on the house as well as no electricity yet you can
hear doors and windows alike slamming shut and lights will come on
in the house. Also it has been heard before the sound of foot
steps in the house as well as strange phenomenon in the yard around
the barn where the alleged hangings occurred. I personally can
vouch for seeing ghostly faces in the windows one with what
appeared to be a noose around the neck. There is definitely
something haunting this house in heard county Georgia, I cannot say
for sure it its victims of murder but there is someone or something
(s) haunting the old house.

My 9 yr. old daughter says she is being followed around last night
while wacthing TV she started to scream and yell then she ran into
her aunts room when my mother her grandmother went to see what had
happened she said that the shadow was stting in the chair and he

In Brattleboro vt there is a place called the Brattleboro Retreat.
It is a mental hospital that had been there for years. I have
talked to people that have worked there. In the basement there are
rooms where the insane were put back so many years ago. I was told
that they were like a prison. There are tunnels that connect the
hospitals many building. I have talked to people that have walk
down the tunnels. I was told of voices so disturbing that most
would run through the tunnels. There owners and management with
not talk about what goes on but those who work there know better.

This may be something hard to believe and many that were around
when this was going on deny it. When I was 8 0r 9 years old I
use to visit our neighbors house with my mother and brother. I can
always remember that we were not allowed in the house. Never
understood why until one day one of the kids (there were two boys
about my age. They use to tell me about chairs moving, doors
closing and a lot of odd happens. I remember his father became real
religious. No one knew why. He wanted his father to make his farm
into a church. I remember that he had become ill and died young I
think he was in his thirties. I think he died of cancer. A while
later his son ( I think he was the oldest) died of cancer too. I
don't remember how old her was. It was not too long after the
mother and the last son moved away no idea where she went. The
house was empty for a long time. The fact of it being haunted was
talked about allot back then. Then a new family moved into the
house. Things were ok but their oldest son had also died. He was
young also. But when the new people moved in the story disappeared
It was never spoken again. I have tried to speak about it but
everyone denies it. Like it is a big secret. There were several
other place that were said to be haunted there. Growing up there I
had heard of most of them. But thought some might find this
interesting.

In william adams junior high's old girls locker room three teenage
girls were murderd. They were found the next morning hung by a rope
and their was blood on every wall. they painted the walls every
coler but the only coler that fit was blue thats why every one
calls it the blue room. If you go in their and turn a flashlight on
and off three times the three girls will appear and on the window
you will see help spelt out in blood. Crazy Huh?!?!

Foxboro State Hospital... It is haunted and so are the grave yards. I have been in the buildings many times over the years since it has been closed. Doors closing, Sounds that come from knowhere, shadows moving, and other strange things happen all the time. My farther worked there in the 70's when they closed and he says that many interesting things happened there at night when everyone was asleep. Things turning themselves on for example. I was working the the theatre building on the property in the early 90's. There is a bowling alley in the basement and the pins were manually set. There was no matchene. I remember one day being one of the only people in the building and hearing bowling balls and going down there and seeing the pins set-up that were not before. Foxboro State is Haunted.

Antebellum Plantation:
I took a picture of the back of the plantation - a group picture at
the bottom of the stairs. The picture included the top of the
home - where the windows to the sitting room were. The sitting
room upstairs is completely blocked off with plexiglass windows.
My picture revealed a woman with her hair in a bun, peering out the
window and watching us take our picture. She appears only in one
of the 3 pictures that I took. You can only see her head in one of
the panes and a hand in the pane below.

were being naughty and brought everyone in our class to our room
for kareoke. We recorded ourselves sing and when we played it we
heard a strange speaking voice too high pitched for the human
voice. Other things happend too like toys worked without batteries
here.

Well, where the Gala club now is and where its field is, there used
to be a haunted hospital. When the buildres were knocking down the
hospital- they had taps on their shoulders. the houses built over
the hospital are now haunted.

the block ever since me and my friends went there no1 has went we

Me and three friend were waiting outside for the
large peperonni pizza we ordered to arrive, while
we were waiting my friend began talking about the
night terrors he had when he was younger.
Throughout the stories I began to tell another
vision I previously had at a church, in which I saw
shadows in the street but nothing was there. As we
began to talk about returning inside because we
were cold I saw a large man about 6'3" walk across
my friend's backyard. The man was very large and
was wearing a white cloak which prevented me from
seeing the face. His hands were raised as if he
were praying and his wrists were shackled. After
that me and my friends were too scared to go inside
so we stood back to back and waited for the pizza.

On the Titusville BCC campus I was working late (2am) and
distinctively heard many sets of footsteps running on the roof
over the building -- one after another. One group sounded like
horses. Then I heard them in the hallway and attrium. The
problem is that the ceiling is cathedral-style and the roof is
some 40' up with straight brick walls and tall glass windows --
