Astrology and Ghost Hunting

What does the ancient art of astrology and the fairly recent phenomenon of ghost hunting have in common? When people think of either one, the other usually doesn't come to mind.
If you happen to be a paranormal enthusiast, who is in to ghost hunting, you may be interested in the fact that you can actually use astrology to discover times of high spirit activity in your area.
In this article I'll attempt to show how astrology may actually increase your success while investigating the paranormal realm.
Any ghost hunter will tell you that spirit activity increases greatly during a full or dark moon, during geo-magnetic storms, and even eclipses. This increased activity is due to much more energy being available in the atmosphere during these periods. It's theorized that spirits use this extra energy to help manifest themselves. It also explains why batteries tend to be drained during some investigations.
Astrology as you may know, deals with cycles and the timing of these cycles. It reveals these cycles through planetary placements and configurations.
You may notice that spirit activity will tend to decline and become more intense during certain times of the year. This is when astrology can be a very useful tool in discovering and identifying these certain periods of time.
Now, we'll examine the most important point in astrology for timing these events, and that is, the moon.
In astrology, the moon represents the flux and flow of our planet, and our everyday lives. The moon also represents psychic energy within us and around us.
As the moon moves through her monthly cycles, she passes through all twelve zodiac signs, spending approximately 2 1/2 days in each sign. Certain signs, know as "water signs", Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. are known to be very psychic in nature. When the moon passes through one of these signs, the psychic energy in the atmosphere tends to increase a great deal. Now, if the moon happens to be in her full or new phase, or even an eclipse, this will increase the energy even more.
It's very easy to find the zodiac position of the moon. Any astrology magazine or most astrology websites will have an ephemeris that will show the daily zodiac position of the moon. If you yourself or any of your friends have any knowledge of astrology, so much the better.
The next time you plan a ghost hunt, be sure to notice what sign the moon will be in at the time. If your schedule permits it, plan your hunt when the moon is in a water sign. Even better if the moon is full or new. You just might be surprised at the results.
