We were driving around one x-mas night when my son was 5 in
1993. We were looking at all the x-mas light displays around town having a
nice fun time. It was late... after midnight when we pull up to a stop light
on foster ave. and 85th or so, in Portland Oregon. We were all alone on the
road...

Suddenly a car pulls up, some old olive green boat, I look over like one
usually does and there was this older man at the wheel. I didn't think much
of it until he turns to look at me.. He doesn't just turn his head like most
people do, he turns his whole upper body towards me! His head is kind of
slumped into his shoulders, his mouth is large and slack with a bit of drool
in the corners.. The thing that chills me to this day was the look in his
large bulging pale eyes: or rather the lack of one... his eyes were of the
undead, I saw something evil in there, something that wanted me....wanted me
to join him!

I know it sounds weird and unreal, but that is just what went through my
mind. I could hardly tear my eyes away, I seem to be somewhat held in
thrall. When I finally manged to look away, ( the fear and flight or fight
sensation finally kicking in); all I could do was hit my then husband on the
arm and croak out GO, GO, GO NOW!!!!! Hubby didn't want to run the red and
risk a ticket though.

I finally summoned the inner strength to scream (after I looked over again
and saw the thing was still watching me with a greedy evil look in his eyes,
still drooling); "RUN THIS F*****G RED LIGHT NOW!!!! He did and we got away
asap. I looked back only a couple seconds later to make sure it wasn't
following us and the car and driver had disappeared! There were no turn offs
at that point and nowhere for him to have gone!

Later my (then) hubby asked what I saw, I am not sure he believed what I saw
was the undead, but he knew whatever it was, it scared the living daylights
out of me and that was enough... I don't scare easily either! Ask my
brothers, who spent their childhood (and mine) trying to frighten me...

Well, that's my encounter with the evil dead... I am going to go now before
it really creeps me out again... AAAAAHHHH
