Grandmother's Ghost?:
I was
4 years old when this happened, and it was my first experience that I
remember.
I
slept with my grandmother on a pedestal bed that was placed next to a set of
windows. It was a very hot night and I just couldn't get to sleep because of it.
I told my grandmother of this, and she told me to just think of something cool,
that it would help me to sleep. Now, a childs imagination is a great thing! I
would think of ice-cream, and watch it melt because of the heat I was feeling!
So of course, that idea never worked. I turned to tell her again--but this time
I got no response.
I
continued to look out the windows when I felt a breeze from ABOVE me. I looked
up and saw what appeared to be my grandmother in a long blue robe, just hovering
there--floating, smiling at me and holding a cup. I could even notice the robe
swaying in the "wind" where her feet would've been. I got scared, and covered my
eyes. But, curiosity took over and I dared look once more, [this is a hard part
to explain], I couldn't see her--but could sense her still there. If I'd close
my eyes, then I could see her clearly. She was holding the cup still, and turned
it, to pour water on top of my chest--I could even feel and hear as it hit me!
But never got "wet." I quickly got "cooled off" and fell
asleep.
The
next day I woke up alone in bed, and quickly got up and ran out to tell what had
happened to me. I found everyone in the diningroom, for it was Mother's Day and
they were giving my grandmother her gifts. She had just opened one that my
grandfather had given her--when she pulled out the blue robe--the same exact one
I saw on "her" that night! I then blurted out the whole thing, to just be
told "It was all just a dream"--- but I know better. :O)
Note:
Some
of you might think that it was my grandmothers spirit who helped me that
night--but I believe something else and shall explain....
My
Mother had died a few months earlier, and has been with me ever since. I myself
have never seen her, but others have, including my grandmother.
When
she died, the first occurance, was that a group of ladies where all praying for
her, [The Catholic way Rosery] and ALL heard her voice scream out.."NO! It can't
be! I'm not dead!"
The
second occurance was when I was outside playing, sitting on the ground next to a
tree, and my grandmother saw my mother "skipping" from behind that tree, and tap
me on the head with some papers, then--just disappear behind the tree once more.
That week, my grandfather recieved the papers of custody of
me.
So, I
believe it was my mother who helped me that night, taking form of my
grandmother--so not to scare me.
Thank's Mom---Nina
