BOOK
REVIEW:
Colonel Phillip J. Corso (Ret.)
"The Day After
Roswell"
Review by George A.
Filer, MUFON Eastern Director
If true, this may be the
most important book of the century. Colonel Phillip Corso and his co-author
William J. Birnes, Ph.D. not only confirms that aliens are visiting Earth, but
they are attempting to colonize the planet. Most shocking perhaps of all is
their harvesting of human beings and animals. Further, to stop the so called
harvesting we continue to be involved in a Cold War with EXTRATERESTIALS. "They
had tried to disrupt our space program for years-Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and
even the Space Shuttle. They buzzed our capsules traveling through space,
interfered with our transmissions, and pulsed us with EMP bursts just like we
used to do the Soviet surface ships.... On page 127, Corso states "Sometimes we
actually got lucky enough to score a hit with a missile before the UFO could
take any evasive action, which an army air defense battalion did with
antiaircraft missile near Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany in May 1974. The
spacecraft managed to crash-land in a valley. The craft was retrieved and flown
back to Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
I suggest the alleged Ramstein
crash should be investigated, because most of the people involved in this action
are still alive. " Colonel Corso further states "But as spectacular and
fantastic as it may sound, the story behind the limited deployment of the SDI is
the story of how humanity won its first victory against a more powerful and
technologically superior enemy, who discovered to whatever version of shock it
experiences, that there was real trouble down on its farm."(p.250) In other
words, we are at war, there are periodic skirmishes, and we're holding our own
with the extraterrestrials using Star Wars Technology..
Apparently,
General Douglas Mac Arthur who Corso quotes was right, when he told the New York
Times back in 1955, "The nations of the world will have to unite for the next
war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the Earth must someday make a
common front against attack by people from other planets."
I'm not
oblivious to some of the apparent errors and lack of proof in the book, I could
just as easily find reason to criticize the book. In many ways, the book seems
too unbelievable to be true. However, I suggest caution, my experience has been
that men of the caliber of Col. Corso and Gen. Mac Arthur may sometimes make
mistakes, they might even exaggerate, but their word and their honor are more
important to them than money and fame. Corso explains a small UFO working group
within the government believes one or more alien cultures are testing both our
ability and resolve to protect ourselves. Abductions, mutilations, various
offensive actions are part of these skirmishes. We apparently lost many aircraft
and men. Interestingly, he claims, the army and air force managed to find at
least 122 photos taken by astronauts on the moon, that showed some evidence of
alien presence. (p.129).
This is a landmark book not to be taken lightly.
Consider the history of the Earth and UFOs in the last fifty years. Why is the
Cold War over? Why have our former enemies, the USSR and the Warsaw Pact and the
United States joined together as allies? ?Why are there numerous joint exercises
of United Nations forces on our soil?. Corso claims, "For over fifty years, now,
the war against UFOs has continued as we tried to defend ourselves against their
intrusions." I ask you to reflect and consider the possibility that these men
are correct, and that we are at war. Alien craft the size of ocean liners are in
our skies, we have a series of unexplained aircraft crashes.
I'm sorry
to report the book offers little concrete proof that its assertions are true. He
has no convincing documents, photos or diagrams of the extraterrestrial
artifacts or aliens. However, the book has a ring of truth that deserves
meticulous investigation. My biggest criticism is his description of his
examination of an alien body at Fort Riley, Kansas in 1947. I'll admit the
authors may have taken some poetic license in various parts of the book, but
they understand government, the military and how things are accomplished. Those
who read this informative book, now know what it's like to be an insider, you
may have finally learned the basic truth. How does it feel? Can we believe it?
Senator Strom Thurmond even wrote the foreword to the book, and he must have
know some of this information. Is it time to start preparing for a very
different future than most of us expected? I suggest you read it!
