Haunted Places:
1. Florida; Key West
Voodoo:
Robert Eugene Otto was given a doll when
young, as a companion. It was even named Robert after the young boy, and similar
in likeness. He spent every moment with the doll, talking, playing, and even
blaming it when something went wrong. When Eugene got married, his wife Anne,
[who could never stand the doll, for it made her feel uneasy], submited when
Robert gave the doll it's very own room in the house. Children passing by
claimed to see the doll moving around in the room, and glowering at them from
it's windows. Visitors to the house who saw the doll claimed it's expression's
would turn evil, and once, a plumber fled claiming he heard it
giggling.
Key West Martelo Museum is where the doll
can be seen now by it's visitors, still claiming, even not knowing the history
of the doll, that it's expression changes. The "Artist House," where Robert and
Anne lived is now a guest house. The staff claim that both the souls of the doll
and Anne haunt the room once belonging to the doll.
2. Britains Most Haunted
Village:
Pluckley Village in Britany is
claimed to be very haunted. The local Manor House is haunted by "The Tutor
Lady." Her ghost is always seen. The lady had poisioned herself and for the sin
of suicide, her spirit has remained there, haunting not only the Manor, but the
grassy paths behind it. The local cementery is haunted by "The Red Lady," a
young woman seen gliding among the headstones searching for the grave of her
baby, pulling at her hair in distress in not finding it. Many other hauntings
are also claimed there. A haunted stagecoach, driven by a headless driver and
pulled by four black steeds, can be seen on an outside road of the village. Also
a suicided school's headmaster, and a lady engulfed in flames who has been seen
running across a road, trying to extinguish the flames in her dress, are just a
few more to mention.
3. Spirits of San
Diego:
The Whaley House is claimed to
be one of the most haunted houses in the world. All types of ghosts haunt there-
even the backyard is haunted by the ghost of a little girl. Ann and Thomas, the
original owners, (built the house ), also haunt
there.
4. England; Bell
Hotel:
Two hours North of London, in
Norfolk England there is a 200 year old building called The Bell Hotel. In the
19th century, it used to be the "Ancient House," owned by Elizabeth Radcliff.
Legend has it that she was murdered by a stable-hand, and her daughter suicided
because she'd found out that the stable-hand was having an affair with both her
mother and herself. Visitors to the hotel claim to see a young womans ghost in
the room the suicide occurred.
5. Tennessee Haunt: The
Rotherwood House;
In Tennessee, there is a house
called by the locals "The House on Haunted Hill." In the mid 18' hundreds, it
was owned by a very evil and mean man Joshua Phipps. On the day he died, his
casket was being taken to the cementery by wagon, the horses, nearing the
gate tried in vain, but couldn't pull the wagon
further. The horses where changed, but nither the new ones could make it budge.
The witnesses claim that it was if an invisible force kept it from moving, that
all fell silent around them, and then the ground and nearby lake rumbled and
shook. All eyes fell on the casket, and something that seemed to be a large
black hound emerged from it, a hound from hell. It's howling
could be heard around the mansion at night. Three days later, Joshua's casket
was dug up- and when opened- was found to be empty. The house itself is claimed
to be haunted, and wicked laughter can be heard in the valley that surrounds it.
On it's river bank, the ghost of a young girl dressed in a wedding
dress can also be seen. The house is now owned by Dr. Lenita H.
Thibault.
6. New
Orleans:
The Golden Rod
Showboat;
Claimed to be very haunted, a
lady in a red dress, about 20 years of age, light brown hair, as described by
the people who've seen her, haunt's there.
7. The Island of trapped
spirits;
Fort Delaware is a haven for
spirits. Pea Patch Island is an isolated area-both the fort and it's
surroundings are claimed to be haunted by many different spirits. A shadowy
figure in cloak and hat can be seen at night carrying a lantern, and hands
have been seen reaching out of the river as if pleading for
help.
8. Ghost hunters frequently
visit Gettysburg Pennsylvania, site of the famous civil war battle. Allegedlly,
the spirits of slain soldiers have been seen marching across the battlefields.
9. South Carolina;
Charleston:
At the Battery Cottage House
Inn, a male ghost haunts not only the property, but grounds as well. Fond of
young, single, women- and their company, he is known as "The gentleman Caller."
He frequently visits room 10, and many documented cases of him entering the
room, and sitting on the bed next to the person sleeping there, [always women],
have been recorded.
10. At 59 Curch Street, a
house owned by Catherine Forrester, passed down through many generations of her
family, claim there is a ghost of a man who watches over them and roams the
grounds. Dr. in life, he was killed nearby the house in a duel with a merchant
who envied his sucess at such a young age. Nicknamed "The wistling Dr." some
claim to still hear him wistling on the path he took to his office-just as he
did in life.
11. In Boston Harbor, 7 miles
away, just past Boston Lighthouse, is Georges Island. A ghost of a lady dressed
in a black cape and veil haunts there.

Portland;
In Cresent Beach, a ghost of a
lady in a white dress can be seen between the hours of 11-12 midnight, the same
hour on which a ship she had traveled on crashed against the rocks and sunk many
centuries ago.
13. Portland:
White Eagle Salon,
(Bar)
The ghost of a young lady
haunts there and some claim to have seen her peering out of the upstairs
windows- which are closed off and empty. They also hear her crying and moaning.
The ghost of a bouncer also haunts there- mostly causing trouble. The third, and
last spirit that haunts there is that of a man who just watches over and roams
the bar.
14. Port
Townsend:
Manresa Castle in
Washington;
Haunted by two ghosts. One
is a young lady who is claimed to have flung herself to death from one of it's
windows, and the other is of a priest who hung himself in it's
tower.

Washington:
Seattle,
Puget Sound;
Spirits
haunt the streets and shops underground [underneath] the
city.
16. Pasific
Northwest:
Fort
Vancouver on the Colombia River;
The
Vancouver Barracks [headquarters] are said to be haunted by soldiers from the
past. In another part of the barracks, in what was once a house, now converted
into a Real Estate Business, [Windermere Realty], is haunted by the ghost of a
young girl who hung herself there.
17. Oregon
Coast:
Heceta
Head;
Heceta House
is claimed to be haunted by a female ghost. After bearing a stillborn child, she
hung herself in the 1890's and haunts this bed and breakfast to this very day.
The strange thing about this ghost is that she has apparently aged over time,
instead of remaining how she was at the time of her death. The attic is the most
haunted part of this house, being where she died.

Baltimore:
The Uss
Constellation;
Visitors to
the ship have claimed to have seen ghosts dressed in old Navy
uniforms.
19.
Whistling Oyster {Bar}
Baltimore;
Is claimed
to be haunted by various ghosts. All dressed in older era
garments.
20.
Baltimore:
The Zodiac
Rest., and Club Charles;
Club Charles
is claimed to be haunted by a male ghost called "Frenchy" in real life. He
had been seen in the men restroom's mirror, serves himself drinks, [without a
glass], sends glasses flying through the air and rearranges the "takeout" liquor
bottle cabinet.
The Zodiac
Rest., next door to Club Charles, is also claimed to be haunted. Another male
ghost, seen very often by both workers and customers.
The Club
Charles ghost "feels" good, even though a prankster, by it's staff, but the
ghost of the Zodiac Rest. makes the workers feel uneasy and
fearful.
21.
Baltimore:
Fort
McHenry;
Claimed to
be haunted by the ghost of a man who has never left his post- to this day. He
has been seen walking amongst the cannons of the fort by
visitors.
22. The Home
of Edgar Allan Poe:
An elderly
woman ghost has been seen in the room where Poe used to write. People who visit,
and also the staff, have felt a "tapping" on their shoulders, sometimes gentle,
sometimes rough.
Since 1949,
a strange ritural is preformed at Poe's burial site. On every January 19, [Poe's
birthday], a man has been seen, dressed in black. Appearing in the hours between
12 midnight and 6am, he leaves 3 red roses and a half-filled bottle of cognac on
the grave. He has been nicknamed "The Poe Toaster," because he has been seen
raising a glass of cognac to the grave of Poe. No one has ever found out who
this dark stranger is.

Baltimore:
Fort
Garrison;
Haunted by
what people claim to be "suburban ghosts." A visitor, [male] was punched
by an invisible force to his face, and the ghost of a
middle-aged woman has been seen.
24.
Edinburgh: Bonny Bridge;
Over 60
million people, [more than half it's population], have claimed to have seen
U.F.O.'s.
25.
Edinburgh: Grey Freyer's Church;
A 400 year
old cementery is claimed to be haunted by an evil poltergiest conjured up by
witchcraft.
26.
Scotland: Argyll;
Duntrune
Castle, now a home, is claimed to be haunted by a bagpipe player. Things are
mysteriously moved- and broken, clock's stop, and the dogs of it's owners are
said to act strangly as if seeing what causes these unexplained things to
occur.
27. Grampian Region: Fyvie
Castle;
On the east side of
Scotland is claimed to be haunted. The ghost of a woman called "The Green Lady,"
has been seen walking the coridors. A room that causes death or blindness to
those who disturb it, and an age old curse claimed to still be felt by the staff
there.
28. Scotland: Angus
Landscape;
Glamis Castle- haunted and
cursed. One of it's ghosts is called "The Lady in Grey." People say "a feeling
of sadness" surrounds her.
